Issue log as an Output of Project Execution
Any time you set out to achieve what you have planned for a project, there are issues that will always come up. You need to document this is your issue log.
Also, throughout the lifetime of a project, the Project Manager will normally face problems, gaps, inconsistencies or conflicts that occur unexpectedly and such issue requires some actions so that they do not impact on the project performance.
The issue log is a project document where all the issue is recorded and tracked for the project.
Some of the data that you will in an issue log includes: who raises the issue and when, description of the issue, a priority level of the issue, who is assigned to the issue, target resolution date for the issue, status of the issue as well as the final solution for the issue.
The issue log as a document will help the Project Manager to effectively track and manage issues, ensuring that they are investigated and resolved.
This document is also created for the first time as an output of this process, also issue may happen at any time but it will happen first during project execution.
It is also updated as a result of the monitoring and controlling activities throughout the project lifecycle.
