Work Performance Data as an Output of Project Execution
Work performance Data are raw observations and measurements identified during activities being performed to carry out the project work.
Data are often viewed as the lowest level of details from much information is derived from another process. From the data analysis, we can have a true picture of our project deliverables.
It will allow us to assess whether we are on the right track to achieve the objectives of our project. Data is gathered through work execution and passed to the controlling process group for further analysis.
Some practical example of work performance data include work completed, key performance indicators for project activities, technical performance measures for projects, actual start and finish dates of scheduled activities, story points completed, deliverable status, schedule progress for project tasks, the number of change requests raised since the project started, the number of defects observed, he actual cost incurred for project activities, the actual duration that you planned for task among others.
