When it comes to project execution, there is some individual that sacrifices in order to meet project goals. When team members are committed to your project, you need to make sure that such an individual is rewarded. In this article, I want to talk about some of the ways of rewarding individual performance for projects.
In traditional organizations, rewarding individual performance refers to giving pay increases or promotions based on merit. In a team environment, it is difficult to tie merit increases to individual performance because of the mutual interdependence of team members.
Recognizing individual team members’ performance is considered culturally unacceptable in many countries, particularly China and Japan.

In an effort to reward individual performance, the managers of a real estate company decided to offer a 10% salary increase to the sales representatives who exceeded there sales quota by more than 25% for the year.
