Managing Campaign Optimization For Paid Search

Managing Campaign Optimization For Paid Search

At times, when you are running campaigns you might not be getting the desired results as expected. This might lead to the need for you to carry out campaign optimization for your SEO project. One of the steps that you need to carry out is to adjust your location in order to reach out to your target audience. Here are some steps for adjusting bids for locations:

  • Navigate to the locations tab on the left-hand menu
  • Add a % bid for a location
  • Simply add the % you want to increase or decrease the bid by for the specific location.

Why bid for location?

This is to try to secure traffic from high-value locations by telling Google you are willing to pay more for this click as searchers in this location are valuable to you, e.g. bid 20% higher for clicks from London, as this could be a high-value customer location.

  • Searchers sometimes convert at peak times. By looking at conversion times over a number of weeks or months, you might be able to spot trends. You can then focus your activity around conversion hot spots and test this on overall conversions
  • Sometimes, searchers are researching before they convert so it’s important to test ad scheduling
  • You can set times when your ads are active throughout the week and pause activity automatically at certain times of the week
  • Ad scheduling can be added in the Ad schedule tab of a campaign. Click on the times and days you want to run the ads and save the timetable.

  • Google Ads Editor allows you to make bulk changes to AdWords accounts. It has many benefits including:

  • Export and import files to share proposals or make changes to an account.
  • View statistics for all campaigns or a subset of campaigns.
  • Manage, edit, and view multiple accounts at the same time.
