How To Use Tracert As A Network Security Tool
In many of my previous articles, I have talked about some of the network security tools that can be used to manage your network. In this article, I want to look at how you can make use of tracert as a network security tool. Follow me as we learn some facts about tracert in this article.
The Tracecert command is a sort of “ping device”. It not only tells you whether the packet gets there and how long it took, but it also tells you all the immediate hops it took to get there.
With tracert as a network security tool, you can see the time the IP addresses of each immediate step listed, and how long it took to get to that step knowing the step required to reach a destination can be very important.
