In our own part of the world where unemployment and under-employment is the order of the day. There is no better wish than to be an entrepreneur and manage your own business. The amazing part of it is that not everyone that wished to be an entrepreneur actually succeeds. In this article, I want to look at some of the ways not to be an entrepreneur. Follow me as we are going to look at some of the reasons why many failed as an entrepreneur in this article.
#1 Busy Parrot
These are Entrepreneurs who talk too much about his or her ideas but never make an effort to put them to work. This type is analytical, but lacks the strong will to start a new venture.
#2 House Rat
These are entrepreneurs who is so inquisitive, he likes to explore but is also afraid to take risks.
#3 Suspicious Bee
These are entrepreneurs who are very suspicious of there ideas or wealth being stolen from them. They are very erratic, intolerant and melancholic.
#4 Flamboyant Peacock
These are entrepreneurs who like comfort and immediate gratification. He or she waits for a windfall or good fortune but lack discipline and perseverance of nurturing a new venture. They easily get discouraged and cannot persist for a long time.
#5 The Termite
These are entrepreneurs who are good at inventions or starting a new venture but have a short term orientation. They never go far beyond three years.
#6 Vulture and Hyena
These are entrepreneurs who patiently to benefit from the woes or failure of others rather than growing their new ventures. They are corporate hawkers or scavengers. They hardly act or take responsibility.
#7 Deceptive tortoise
These are entrepreneurs who attempt to succeed through deception rather than through innovation and strategy.
#8 The lame duck
These are entrepreneurs who does many businesses (jack of all trade) without mastering any. He or she is not focused and might likely not grow beyond the initial stage. The duck can swim, walk and fly without mastering any.
#9 Meticulous cat
These are entrepreneurs who believes that everything must be in a perfect state before is works. He or she does not accept or tolerate mistakes.
#10 Slow snail
These are entrepreneurs who react to crisis very slowly, react to change instead of being proactive. He or she is slow to innovate, abhor creativity and prefer a stable and predictable environment. He or she cannot manage crisis efficiently in a rapidly changing and competitive environment. Usually, he or she hides in a shell when there is a problem or danger.
